For some reason, I’m really shy on Tumblr. Like, I follow 300 people and don’t talk to most of them out of shyness. On Twitter I talk(ed) to everyone. I guess it’s because all the “cool kids” are on Tumblr and I’m afraid I’m not one of them…

Feeling the love tonight, thanks for all the inbox love, guys! :)

Plus, one of my younger co-workers asked to talk to me after work tonight, and it turned out that she’s starting a long distance relationship and wanted some advice.  It was really cute, because she was like, “I thought about you and Phil a lot when we started talking about getting together…your story really gives me so much hope.”

It’s amazing how many different people have told me that our relationship gives them hope…even friends that aren’t in long distance relationships have said so.  Phil and I aren’t perfect and neither is our relationship. And I’m definitely not the strongest person, when it comes to dealing with the distance.  But I do think it’s true that if you really love each other and are meant to be together, it’ll work out.  It’ll take work, and compromise and change…but you can do it.  And if you really love that person, all the work, compromise and change will be totally worth it. 

Or, as I told my co-worker tonight, “If Phil and I can make a long-distance relationship work with a 17-hour time difference and literally living halfway across the world, ANYONE can.”  It’s true :)

That post was awesome! It made me feel much better after reading a good few posts about people finding him annoying and such since I heavily relate to the character.
